•Review and enhance product classification policies in conjunction with U.S. Customs mandates, including preparing and submitting binding ruling requests.

•Responsible for management of BJ’s Global C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) compliance.

•Oversight of government agency regulations requisite to customs clearance involving the Food & Drug Administration, Fish and Wildlife Administration, Federal Communications Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Agriculture.

•Respond to all US Customs & Border Protection and other government agency communications.

•Provide leadership and guidance on Customs educational programs and awareness training to ensure corporate wide understanding of government regulations to promote optimum compliance.

•Will perform other operational tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned to support all import shipments.

Hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field.

•Strong knowledge of international transportation management.

•Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with all levels within the organization.

•Licensed Customs Broker is a plus
